The unidentified male pedestrian critically injured in Tuesday's 9:30 p.m. crash with an Infiniti Q50 on West End Avenue at 17th Avenue has died. The preliminary investigation indicates the Infiniti had the green light at the intersection when the driver stated the man was in her lane of travel and she could not avoid hitting him.

The man was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Efforts to identify him through fingerprints are ongoing by the Medical Examiner's Office.

The driver of the Infiniti did not show signs of impairment at the scene.
