The Convenience of a Digital Wallet

Here at WCF Financial Bank, we are constantly mindful of offering our customers the latest technology, and we do that for a variety of reasons. First, there are many new services that help make your life easier and simpler. Second, we want to stay current with the financial features and benefits our customers are looking for. Additionally, many of these new products help safeguard your hard-earned money by keeping it more secure, which is critical in today's world.

Today, I'm pleased to share yet another WCF offering, and that is Digital Wallet. Simply put, Digital Wallet allows you to place your debit card in your Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay wallet. Doing so means you can make payments without physically using your card or carrying large amounts of cash, instead utilizing your device to make payments seamlessly.

What about safety? Digital wallets utilize technology such as tokenization, encryption, and password protection. Even though your card information is stored in your wallet, its information isn't shared with the merchant or available to the various hackers. So, if that retailer is hacked, your information remains safe and secure.

One quick tip - make sure your phone with the Digital Wallet is kept sure by requiring a password or, better yet, biometrics (Face ID) to open and access the device. This additional layer of protection helps keep all information on your device secure in the event it is lost or stolen.
