VITAS Applauds NAHC-NHPCO Alliance CEO Decision

MIAMI, FL (August 26, 2024) - VITAS Healthcare applauds the NAHC-NHPCO Alliance for selecting Steven Landers, MD, MPH as its first chief executive officer (CEO). VITAS Chairman and CEO Nick Westfall joined 19 other executives from hospice and palliative care providers and home care organizations across the nation on the NAHC-NHPCO transition board this year to oversee the consolidated organization merger, which officially took place in July. As a transition board member and a legacy NHPCO board member since 2020, Westfall was one of the six committee members who selected Landers from among the candidates.
