The Minister of Foreign Affairs’ official visit to Colombia – Bogotá, August 14 - 15, 2024

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira, will make an official visit to Bogotá on August 14-15. He will be hosted by his counterpart, Luis Gilberto Murillo, with whom he will hold a meeting to discuss the key aspects of the bilateral relationship, recently elevated to the level of an strategic partnership. The Ministers will also discuss regional and multilateral issues, including the current situation in Venezuela.

The meeting will also allow them to share experience on the preparations for the 16th Conference on Biodiversity in 2024 (COP 16), to be held in Cali, Colombia, from October 21 to November 1, 2024, and for the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP 30), in Belém do Pará, in November 2025.

With a bilateral trade flow of $6.1 billion in 2023, Brazil is Colombia's third largest trading partner. More than 70 Brazilian companies are established in Colombia. The permanent high-level dialogue between the two countries ensure favorable conditions for greater integration of production chains between the two countries and the promotion of trade exchanges.
