On 9 October 2024, Fujitsu, a Direct Member and Sustaining Partner of XBRL International, gathered regulators, XBRL experts, and technical leaders from 22 countries at its 6th Annual European xBRL Workshop in Naples.

The workshop covered Fujitsu's OIM (xBRL-CSV, xBRL-JSON) solutions, the technical evolution of the EBA, EIOPA, and ECB data collections and reporting standards, and discussions on the impact of DORA, ReF, and DPM 2.0 projects.

Fujitsu's AI-driven solutions for Corporate Sustainability Reporting (CSRD) sparked plenty of interest, offering fresh ideas for the road ahead. XBRL International's Technical Director Paul Warren shared updates on advances in xBRL Formula, Table Constraints, and Digital Signatures.

Upcoming ESG reporting was, of course, a key topic. An EFRAG representative explained the ESRS Set 1 XBRL Taxonomy, how it enables the digitisation of sustainability statements, and the benefits it provides to preparers and users of the data. Discussions offered practical solutions to emerging challenges in xBRL-CSV regulatory reporting, as well as in the context of upcoming ESRS reporting

It was an insightful day, full of practical ideas, the exchange of ideas, and opportunities to learn about solutions to meet upcoming regulatory challenges. Fujitsu wants to extend their thanks to all guests and speakers for their invaluable contributions!

See you next year!
