Falcon Beach RCMP respond to possible break and enter

On July 15, 2024, at approximately 9:30 pm, Falcon Beach RCMP responded to a report of a possible break-in at a property in Hadashville. A male was seen entering a private property via video surveillance.

Officers immediately responded along with Police Dog Services (PDS) and Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS).

An abandoned vehicle with no licence plates was located just outside the property and officers noticed a licence plate inside the vehicle. That plate was checked and was confirmed stolen out of Abbotsford, B.C..

The area was contained and with the assistance of the RPAS, officers could see a male suspect running through a neighboring property and hiding in an abandoned building. As police officers closed in on the suspect, he gave up and was arrested without incident.

The suspect had sustained minor injuries unrelated to this incident and was taken to the hospital.

The 38-year-old male from Newfoundland, is facing charges of Flight from Peace Officer, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Trespass at Night.

RCMP continue to investigate.
