Life in Franklin, Tennessee

Franklin, Tennessee is casual yet cool. Its small-town charm and big-city dreams welcome newcomers and retain residents. Named after Benjamin Franklin himself, Franklin, Tennessee manages to be a desirable destination full of deep history while encompassing exciting new businesses and opportunities due to its rapid growth.

Franklin takes pride in preserving its rich history and the upkeep of its assets, such as its picture-perfect downtown area. Serving as an inspiration to songwriters, artists and creators of all kinds, Franklin is a place to absorb and engage in all kinds of culture. While advantageous, its proximity to Nashville is not needed to make Franklin's name known. It has an unmatched character all on its own.

Inside The Factory at Franklin, you'll find an abundance of local shopping and dining to enjoy. Purchase one-of-a-kind art and clothing pieces, grab a baked good, or pick up fresh honey for the family. Participate in a historical walking tour if facts tickle your fancy, or see a theatre show or film screening. If you skip everything else The Factory has to offer, you must stop by for the Franklin Farmer's Market held every Saturday morning outside. All things farm fresh can be found!

The Outdoors

Natural beauty can be found all over Franklin with many trails, parks, and rivers to enjoy hiking, fishing, biking, and more. Greenery can be spotted from almost any angle until fall comes and color hits the leaves. Take your pick of a nature park in Franklin, Tennessee as outdoor activities are not lacking.

The Natchez Trace Parkway stretches through Franklin and provides spectacular views any time of year from the double-arched Natchez Trace Bridge. Arrington Vineyards is an extremely popular outdoor destination to sip on wine, pop out your picnic basket, and see the scenery that Franklin has to offer. While it serves as a classic vineyard, it is also an incredible backdrop for photographs.

Franklin Park is a developmental area right off I-65 South in the heart of Franklin. It is a top destination for corporate offices, especially Fortune 500 companies, and it is home to Camden Franklin Park. With an abundance of native plants, open spaces for hosting and playing, and over three miles of walking paths throughout Franklin Park, there is greenspace galore for all who call Camden Franklin Park home.

Downtown Franklin

The best part about Downtown Franklin will always be free parking, but the area doesn't lack in any aspect. It is a truly picturesque destination! Justin Bieber filmed his iconic "Mistletoe" music video on its streets. If you turn on a Hallmark movie this holiday season, there is a high probability it was filmed in Downtown Franklin as many are. While it does shine extra bright on a big screen, Downtown Franklin manages to shine daily for anyone who strolls its streets. Local eateries of all kinds can be enjoyed from steak at Cork & Cow to sandwiches at Merridee's Breadbasket. Stop at any shop to find a unique gift or a handmade piece for your home. Whatever you find to eat or find to buy, chances are that it's local, and if it's not, it's probably sold by someone who is.

For special occasions, Downtown Franklin loves to host free signature events to bring the community together. The Downtown Franklin Association hosted the 39th Annual PumpkinFest this fall, and Franklin on the Fourth is an annual event hosted on Independence Day each year. Food, fun, and fellowship are always involved, no matter the theme, and you'll never not hear local live music.
