Ali Raddaoui, lecturer in the University of Wyoming School of Politics, Public Affairs and International Studies (SPPAIS), has been appointed as a 2024-25 higher education ambassador for the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).
"I am deeply honored CFR has selected me as the University of Wyoming's Higher Education Ambassador for this year," Raddaoui says.
The Higher Education Ambassador Program is a nine-month engagement that connects educators across the world with free educational resources, professional development activities and a network of professionals who are committed to equipping students with the knowledge, skills and perspective to navigate today's connected world.
As an adjunct faculty member and former associate professor at UW, he brings experience in integrating cutting-edge technology, pedagogy and learning theory into education.
"With an unwavering commitment to student learning, participatory education and global citizenship, Ali works hard to equip students with the linguistic, social, cultural and digital tools necessary to succeed in today's complex global landscape," says Stephanie Anderson, a professor and chair of SPPAIS.
"Thanks to this platform, I will be able to share my perspective on language and communication, technologically mediated teaching, comparative education and international affairs with my fellow ambassadors and foreign policy experts to help prepare students for a rapidly changing world," Raddaoui says. "I also will be able to tap into the collective knowledge of this distinguished network of scholars and the invaluable resources CFR makes available to higher ed ambassadors."
Raddaoui received his Ph.D. from Indiana University in Bloomington. His research interests include best practices in language learning and teaching; the interface of learning and technology; and program design.
