Chamizal National Memorial is excited to announce an internship opportunity for a Community Volunteer Ambassador (CVA) through Stewards Individual Placements program, part of Conservation Legacy. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about community service and conservation.The CVA will play a crucial role in revitalizing and organizing our volunteer program, fostering deeper connections between the park and the community.
Responsibilities include managing volunteer opportunities, supporting volunteer events, and developing training resources. This is a unique chance to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the park's mission of celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the US-Mexico border.
Position Details
Duration: January 21-Deceber 19, 2025 (48 weeks)
Compensation: $600/week living stipend and $150/week in housing allowance
Requirements
U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
Aged 18-30 (veterans up to 35)
High School Diploma/GED
Strong organizational and communication skills
Local applicants preferred
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
