I'm pleased to report that the evaluation and assessment of applications for the ICANN Grant Program's first cycle is on schedule and set to conclude at the end of 2024.

Once the assessment is complete, the ICANN Board will receive the recommended final slate of applications to be funded. We anticipate that the Board will discuss the slate in January 2025. The Board discussion is dependent on the completion of the process to amend the ICANN Bylaws to address the recommendation by the Cross-Community Working Group on new gTLD Auction Proceeds regarding applicant access to the ICANN Accountability Mechanisms. Information related to Recommendation 7 and the proposed Fundamental Bylaws Amendment related to the ICANN Grant Program can be found on the Public Comment page.

Upon the Board's adoption of the recommended final slate, all applicants will receive the results of the assessment of their application.
