Tadhg Clandillon Appointed as new Managing Director of New Ireland

Bank of Ireland has announced the appointment of Tadhg Clandillon as Managing Director of New Ireland, a role he will take up in early October.

Tadhg has almost three decades of experience in the Irish and international life insurance industry and joins New Ireland from Athora Ireland where he was Chief Executive Officer for the last six years. Prior to Athora Ireland Mr Clandillon served as Chief Financial Officer at Aegon Ireland, which he joined from Irish Life in 2008.

New Ireland Assurance Company protects approximately 600,000 customers through a full range of insurance, investment, and pension products, and has assets under management of €24 billion at end-June, 2024.

Richard Jones, Interim Managing Director of New Ireland, will be taking up the position of Director in Group Strategy and Transformation, with responsibility for Wealth & Insurance, in early October.
