Digby RCMP arrested a woman and executed a search warrant following a series of mischief incidents that occurred on November 26 and 27.
On November 27, Digby RCMP received a number of reports of mischief to buildings and vehicles. The damage, which occurred overnight, included vandalism to multiple vehicles parked along West St. and to two government buildings in that neighbourhood.
Investigators canvassed the area and located evidence associated to these offences. Several businesses and residents also provided surveillance video showing the acts of vandalism.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., Digby RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence on Hwy. 1 in Marshalltown. During the search, officers seized further evidence related to these offences. RCMP Forensic Identification Services has been engaged to support the investigation.
Later in the evening, officers located and arrested 20-year-old Megan Letemplier of Marshalltown. She has been charged with the following offences:
Letemplier has also been charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, and Mischief related to a theft from August 2024.
Letemplier had a first court appearance on November 28 at Digby Provincial Court.
