The City of Rockingham's Summer Series is back for 2024/2025, with a fun-filled program of free and family-friendly events from now until the end of March 2025.
The Summer Series includes the City's major annual events - the Christmas Lights Launch, New Year's Eve, Celebrate Australia Day, Symphony on the Green and Performance in the Park.
The City is excited to announce The Cat Empire (pictured) will be headlining the entertainment for New Year's Eve at the Rockingham Foreshore on Tuesday 31 December.
The evening will kick off at 5pm with roaming entertainment, children's activities, amusement rides and food vendors. For the early birds there will be a fireworks show at 9pm. Then, The Cat Empire will be lighting up the stage with their signature beats and energy before Big Horn Productions leads the countdown to another spectacular fireworks show at midnight.
With so many exciting activities in store, there is something to suit everyone, and City of Rockingham Mayor, Deb Hamblin, encouraged community members to get involved this summer.
"The City's Summer Series provides an opportunity for the Rockingham community to get out and about this summer season, to connect with each other and engage in fun, outdoor activities at the City's foreshores, parks and reserves," Mayor Hamblin said.
As the Summer Series is a family-friendly initiative, visitors to these events are encouraged not to smoke, vape or drink alcohol.
Thank you to Lotterywest for supporting the Christmas Lights Launch, New Year's Eve, Symphony on the Green and Performance in the Park.
