Fort Pulaski National Monument Will Close on October 9, 2024 to Prepare for Hurricane Milton

SAVANNAH, GA - As Hurricane Milton approaches the coast, Fort Pulaski National Monument will close on Wednesday October 9, 2024, to finish safety and property preparations. The park Entrance Station and Fort Pulaski will close at 11:30 AM, and park grounds will close at 12:00 PM.

Fort Pulaski National Monument will re-open once damage assessments have been made and the park is deemed safe for visitation. Fort Pulaski anticipates welcoming the public to the Fort Pulaski Centennial Celebration as scheduled on October 12-13, 2024. Re-opening updates, details, and changes will be shared via our park website and via park social media accounts.
