Halloween-Themed ‘Union After Dark’ Event for UW Students Oct. 25

A "Union After Dark" Halloween-themed fun night will take place at the University of Wyoming Friday, Oct. 25. The free event is open to the UW and Laramie communities.

Organized by 7220 Entertainment, the evening begins at 8 p.m. in the Wyoming Union and will feature a variety of activities, including a haunted house, tarot card readings, pumpkin painting, a nacho bar and other activities.

Sache Hadley, Union After Dark coordinator, says the event-filled night is a chance for students to relax and connect with their peers in a festive, casual atmosphere.

"I want Union After Dark to be something that students can look forward to when they're busy with schoolwork. I try to cater our activities so that everyone can find something to do that they enjoy, whether that's the crafts, the comedians, the food or our other engaging activities," Hadley says. "College should be more than just studying, and Union After Dark allows students to have fun with their friends at no cost to them."

Additionally, events provide a welcoming space for students who may be feeling homesick or have not yet found their social circle, Hadley adds.

"I think that, when students are given a place to belong and something to look forward to, they will want to be involved in all of the great things that happen on campus," she says.

The 7220 Entertainment team will continue to host Union After Dark events throughout the academic year. Upcoming dates -- each Friday -- are Dec. 6, Feb. 7, March 7 and April 4.
