Orlando re-elected to the National…

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Chandler Councilmember Matt Orlando has been re-elected to the National League of Cities (NLC) Board of Directors by NLC membership during their 2024 City Summit held last month in Tampa, Florida.

Councilmember Orlando will serve a two-year term to provide strategic direction and guidance for NLC's federal advocacy, governance and membership activities. Board members provide direction on city-related topics like housing, jobs, public safety, infrastructure and transportation.

"I'm thrilled to continue representing the City of Chandler on the NLC Board of Directors," said Councilmember Orlando. "I will continue to advocate for our residents and guide effective policy decisions to benefit our region - leading to a better quality of life locally."

NLC is the largest and most representative organization for cities, their elected leaders and municipal staff, and advocates for city priorities in Washington by building strong federal-local partnerships.

Board members are selected by a 15-member nominating committee and are confirmed by a vote from NLC's membership at the organization's annual business meeting. Councilmember Orlando has been served on the NLC Board of Directors since November 2022.
