Geneva kicks off its autumn sports season with the BCGE Tour du Léman à l’Aviron rowing regatta

The BCGE Tour du Léman à l'Aviron is organised by Société Nautique de Genève, a pioneering water sports club founded in 1872, of which Eline Rol, one of BCGE's sports ambassadors since 2019, is also a member.
The world's longest rowing regatta held on a lake, this event will take place on Saturday, 28 September 2024 on Lake Geneva.
For 52 years, enthusiasts have travelled from all over Europe to take part in what can only be described as a heroic race. No fewer than 25,000 strokes of the oars are needed to complete 160 kilometres of racing on Lake Geneva, from Geneva to Bouveret and back.

The BCGE Tour du Léman à l'Aviron also offers a challenge to beginners of the sport through an inter-company regatta to be held on Saturday, 28 September. It is a mixed race aimed at amateur rowers or those who have some basic technical knowledge of the sport.

In the words of Pierrette Jaton Klopfenstein, Member of the Executive Board: "By becoming the event's title sponsor, BCGE has proudly committed itself to supporting the regatta alongside Société Nautique de Genève. We are honoured to support this extraordinary challenge, which brings together athletes of exceptional courage and determination."
BCGE's support promotes the rather demanding sport of rowing, as seen by its patronage of Eline Rol and the BCGE Tour du Léman à l'Aviron. BCGE wishes every success to all the 2024 crews.
