Position Title: Environmental Laboratory Technician/Field Technician

Position Classification: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Employment Conditions:

Salary Range: $15.10-$20.32 (depending on experience and qualifications). Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, annual leave, sick leave, holiday pay, retirement, and apparel programs. Must possess a valid class "C" driver's license and pre-employment drug screen and background check mandatory. A pre-employment physical is required. ANRA is an equal opportunity employer.

General Duties:

ANRA is seeking a motivated individual to join our team in the role of Laboratory Technician. This in an entry level position that reports to the Laboratory Manager. The ANRA Environmental Laboratory performs analyses for surface water, drinking water, and wastewater samples for ANRA internal uses such as environmental water quality monitoring, as well as local municipalities, organizations, and the public for drinking water and wastewater compliance testing.

Ideal candidates will exhibit the ability to work with minimal supervision, outstanding organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and correctness, ability to multi-task, excellent computer skills, positive attitude, ability to work well with others, strong initiative, ability to meet deadlines, and willingness to accept additional responsibilities.

Primary Duties:

  • Perform analytical tests in the laboratory
  • Assist with laboratory administrative duties
  • Maintain smooth laboratory work flow
  • Promote good customer relations with all ANRA clients
  • Provide assistance in the implementation of the Clean Rivers Program sampling activities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Willingness to receive additional training to enhance knowledge and skills
  • Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent, work related experience in science or environmental fields.
  • Two years working in a related laboratory setting is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of general chemistry and laboratory procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, as well as Adobe Acrobat
  • Adaptable and willing to take on other job assignments
