Tarleton State Volleyball hosts annual Block Party for season kickoff August 19 with light up celebration in Wisdom Volleyball Gym

STEPHENVILLE, Texas - Texan Volleyball announced the kickoff celebration of the 2024 Block Party plans on Monday afternoon.

Tarleton State Volleyball will welcome Texan Nation to Wisdom Volleyball Gym on Aug. 19 immediately following Yell Contest.

The annual celebration serves as an introduction to the Texan Volleyball program. Fans in attendance will receive sound activated light up wrist bands while supplies last. Select audience members will have the opportunity to participate in games with players for the chance to win prizes.

In conjunction with the Tarleton State T-Week schedule, directly after the conclusion of Yell Contest, Texan Volleyball welcomes Texan Nation to light up Wisdom Volleyball Gym as they usher in the 2024 season.

The one-hour event will include multiple games and challenges for fans in a fun and high energy environment. The games will commence following the player and coach introductions. A brief Purple vs. White scrimmage will offer fans in attendance the chance to be the first to see the 2024
Tarleton State Volleyball team in action to conclude the evening.

The Texans begin their run at home on Sept. 20 in the opening match of the Tarleton State Invitational against Alcorn State at 10 a.m. On the evening of Sept. 20, the Purple and White will conclude the night with a 6 p.m. matchup against Houston Christian.
