AmeriHealth announces Be of Service campaign winners

Cranbury, NJ - July 23, 2024 - AmeriHealth today announced its winners for the inaugural Be of Service campaign. The recognition honored a Corporate Citizen of the Year and Volunteer of the Year that have gone above and beyond for their communities.

AmeriHealth believes strengthening the communities it serves helps create healthier futures for its members and those they serve. By recognizing how others exceed expectations - through charitable efforts, excellence in philanthropy, volunteering or community service - AmeriHealth wants to celebrate those who have demonstrated impactful work while encouraging them to remain committed to their communities.

Corporate Citizen of the Year

Raise the Bar Family Services Inc. - Camden, NJ

Raise the Bar Family Services Inc. (RTB) aims to enhance the overall well-being of individuals with disabilities and their families by developing high-quality programs, cultivating an inclusive community, and making resources more accessible for all. RTB provides resource navigation, family support and youth programs to those in the community who could benefit from its services.

Volunteer of the Year

Angela Krukauskas, Founder, No1HungryinEHC - Egg Harbor City, NJ

Angela Krukauskas is the Founder of No1HungryinEHC, a local nonprofit that aims to end hunger in New Jersey. What started as a 24-hour food pantry in her front yard has transformed into a community of more than 2,000 individuals who are sharing their needs, donations and opportunities for volunteers. The organization, under Angela's leadership, provides food for the food insecure and conducts back-to-school and holiday drives with donated items from the community.

Winners of each award will receive a $500 gift card from AmeriHealth and a donation of $1,500 to their charity.
