I-575 Resurfacing to Continue This Weekend

WHAT: Weather permitting, GDOT crews will continue to resurface sections of I-575 all weekend and overnight during the following week. The resurfacing will require periodic lane closures in each direction as crews progress along the interstate.

**Please note: The City of Holly Springs is closing Holly Springs Parkway at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 4 until midnight on Sunday, October 6 between Seth Ridge Drive and New Park Drive. A detour will route traffic onto I-575 between Ridgewalk Parkway and Sixes Road. Seth Ridge Drive and New Park Drive will remain open throughout the closure.

Expect delays on I-575 during the weekend due to the resurfacing and the road closure.

WHEN: Friday, October 4 from 7 p.m. until Monday, October 7 at 6 a.m.
Nightly from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., Monday, October 7 until Friday, October 11

WHERE: Various locations along I-575 in both directions will be periodically closed due to resurfacing

  • Advisory:Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app. Our maintenance team members who repair roads and bridges and our project teams who oversee construction projects are continuing their essential work, while following sanitary work practices prescribed by health agencies to protect themselves and the public from the coronavirus, as are most state DOTs in the U.S.
