DCCC Releases First TV Ad in OH-13: “Facts”

Today, the DCCC released its first TV ad in the race for Ohio's 13th Congressional District, "Facts," highlighting Kevin Coughlin's lengthy history as a corrupt and shady politician.

Coughlin's political career has been riddled with ethics investigations and accusations of corruption. When he ran for Stow Municipal Court Clerk, he faced calls for an ethics investigation after using taxpayer funds to illegally award a contract to a "longtime friend" and partner at his firm. Later, he faced allegations of creating a new courthouse position for a campaign supporter who hardly did any work at the job.

When Northeast Ohioans tried to expose the alleged corruption, Coughlin destroyed the public record to cover it up.

The ad - the first to run in OH-13 from the DCCC IE - is airing in the Cleveland media market beginning today and and is part of the committee's previously announced investments in key battleground districts.
