Washington, D.C. - Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) voted in favor of the Servicemember Quality of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025. This bill will give servicemembers a pay raise, counter Chinese aggression, restore lethality to our military, defend Israel, fund general military construction projects, support operations to secure our borders, crackdown on waste, fraud, and abuse at the Pentagon, and more.
After the FY25 NDAA passed the House of Representatives, Congressman Tom Cole released the following statement:
"Every day, challenges and threats against the United States continue to increase. Therefore, during a tumultuous time like this, it is crucial that we prioritize our nation's security in order to protect the American people. Today, with these threats in mind, I cast my vote to ensure exactly that," said Congressman Cole.
"This legislation will guarantee our courageous servicemembers have the resources they need to be fully prepared and ready to respond when called upon. It also enhances the quality of life for our military personnel and introduces much-need oversight at the Pentagon, which will save the taxpayers money," said Congressman Cole. "I am very proud to have supported the FY25 NDAA on the House Floor today, as it sends a powerful message to our adversaries: the United States stands strong, and our men and women in uniform are ready and equipped to defend our nation and its people if necessary."
