Detective Bureau

On September 18, 2024, members of the Detective Bureau and the Uniform Bureau, along with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration, arrested David Mercier, age 59, of 25 Cedar Island Road, Narragansett, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II; and 2) Possession of Marijuana in Excess of Five Kilograms. Mr. Mercier was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

On September 18, 2024, members of the Detective Bureau and the Uniform Bureau, along with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration, arrested Juliet Gannon, age 53, of 25 Cedar Island Road, Narragansett, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II; 2) Possession of Marijuana in Excess of Five Kilograms; and 3) Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Ms. Gannon was transported to State Police Headquarters, where she was processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

On September 18, 2024, members of the Detective Bureau and the Uniform Bureau arrested John Delauro, age 52, of 168 Stone Dam Road, North Scituate, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II; 2) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II; and 3) Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Mr. Delauro was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

On September 18, 2024, members of the Detective Bureau and the Uniform Bureau arrested Marcus Wilcox, age 31, of 282 South Main Street, Floor 2, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II; 2) Possession of Marijuana in Excess of Five Kilograms; and 3) Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Mr. Wilcox was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

On September 18, 2024, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Nelson Pires, age 26, of 106 Rogers Lane, Middletown, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Child Endangerment / Cruelty Towards Child (shooting) out of the Providence Police Department. Mr. Pires was transported to the Middletown Police Department and then to Providence Police Headquarters, where he was processed pending his arraignment.

On September 18, 2024, members of the Detective Bureau and the Uniform Bureau arrested Anthony Ricci, age 30, of 45 Moshassuck Road, Lincoln, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II; 2) Possession of Marijuana in Excess of Five Kilograms; and 3) Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Mr. Ricci was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and presented as a Probation Violator - Rule 32F.

On September 18, 2024, members of the Detective Bureau and the Uniform Bureau arrested Michael Moreno, age 41, of 25 Monticello Street, North Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II; 2) Possession of Marijuana in Excess of Five Kilograms; 3) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance - Psilocybin Mushrooms; and 4) Possession of a Controlled Substance - Crystal Methamphetamine less than 10 Grams. Mr. Moreno was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.

On September 18, 2024, members of the Detective Bureau and the Uniform Bureau, along with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration, arrested Kevin Gannon, age 26, of 103 Narrow Lane, Charlestown, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance Schedule I/II; 2) Possession of Marijuana in Excess of Five Kilograms; and 3) Conspiracy to Violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Act. Mr. Gannon was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
