Welcome to the LBPD Blotter!

As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department's homepage and on the "News" tab of the Department's website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

Here's a recap of incidents occurring last night:

  • No-Hit Shooting - 14th Street and Locust Avenue - On August 9, 2024 at approximately 11:19 p.m., officers responded to the area of 14th Street and Locust Avenue regarding a shots call. Upon arrival, officers located evidence of a shooting. The suspect(s) fled the scene before officers arrived. Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation. No injuries were reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
Great work officers! Officers safely took a gun off the streets.
  • On August 9, 2024 at approximately 6:06 p.m., officers were on patrol in the 2400 block of Baltic Avenue. A group of individuals began to disperse when officers noticed a male juvenile suspect who appeared to be armed. Through their investigation, recovered a firearm. The suspect was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
