TRAFFIC ALERT New Castle County I 95/Rt896 Interchange Upcoming Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) advises motorists that there will be overnight full closures of SR 896 northbound and southbound Monday July 8 through Thursday July 11 for steel girder installation. The SR 896 northbound to I-95 northbound ramp will also be closed overnight. SB I-95 off ramps to SR 896 will remain open. There will be associated overnight lane closures each night on SR 896 and Old Baltimore Pike approaching the work area. Detours will be posted. Additionally, the Contractor will have daytime lane closures on northbound I-95 for truck access and an overnight lane closure on SB I-95 for guardrail repairs.

· Monday July 8th through Thursday July 11th: Daytime Lane Closure, Northbound I-95 from the Route 896 Interchange to the Welcome Center (9AM - ;6PM)
· Monday July 8th: Overnight multi-lane closure, Southbound I-95 from Route 896 Interchange to the Toll Plaza (10PM - ; 6AM). Hi-speed EZPass Lanes closed.
· Monday July 8th through Thursday July 11th: Overnight Ramp Closure, Northbound Route 896 to Northbound I-95.
o Monday 7/8: Route 896 Overnight Closure 8PM - ; 6AM
o Tuesday 7/9 through Thursday 7/11: Route 896 Overnight Closure 11PM - ; 5AM
