Queens Man Arrested for Illegal Possession of a Loaded Firearm

Queens, New York - On August 2, 2024, Troopers from Troop NYC arrested Erik Alexander Rodriguez Fajardo (6/15/1994) for the following charges: Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, a class C felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, a class D felony, and Criminal Possession of a Firearm, a class E felony.

Troopers were on patrol on the Grand Central Parkway in Queens, in the vicinity of Exit 5, when they made a vehicle and traffic stop for an unregistered motor vehicle. Upon impounding the vehicle for no registration, insurance, or having a licensed operator, the passenger, Fajardo, was found to be in possession of a loaded semi-automatic handgun.

Fajardo, of Hillside Avenue in Queens, was transported to the NYPD 114th Precinct for processing and then lodged at Queens Central Booking. He is currently awaiting arraignment.
