Former Head of News for Televisa and Univision Joins FTI Consulting as Senior Advisor

Washington, D.C., May 23, 2024 - FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) today announced the appointment of Leopoldo Gómez as a Senior Advisor to its multidisciplinary Latin America practice, further enhancing the breadth and depth of the firm's service offerings in Mexico and Latin America.

Dr. Gómez, who divides his time between Miami and Mexico City, has more than two decades of experience in the Spanish-language television news industry, where he led the news divisions of Grupo Televisa and Univision Communications, the top Spanish-language broadcasters in Mexico and the United States. Dr. Gómez is also widely recognized as a top political commentator and columnist having served as senior political advisor to former president of Mexico, Ernesto Zedillo.

In his role at FTI Consulting, he will advise cross-border businesses and multinational corporations on assessing and navigating stakeholder risks, implementing issue management programs, and executing advocacy and corporate positioning campaigns.

In academia, Dr. Gómez chaired the launch of the political science department in the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and served as visiting professor at Brown University.
