Hundreds of Families to Gather in Provincetown to the 30th Anniversary of Family Equality’s Family Week

Provincetown, MA - Family Equality, the leading national organization for current and future LGBTQ+ families, expects to welcome at least 600 families to Provincetown, MA to celebrate the thirtieth annual Family Week, the largest gathering of LGBTQ+ families in the world. Since the event's founding in 1994, it's grown to include families from nearly 40 states and 8 countries.

This year's festivities feature family-friendly programming that celebrates, supports, and connects LGBTQ+ families at a time when many are facing threats from the school board to the state house.

The Family Week 2024 schedule includes:

• Family-fun events such as the annual Beach Bash, daily gatherings for youth of specific age groups, and drag performances;
• Important informative panels with queer movement leaders, educational policy experts, and Family Equality's Family Equity Justice Project team;
• Safe and inclusive affinity spaces for BIPOC, multiracial, trans and nonbinary, single parents, and more to connect with one another;
• Family Equality's first-ever Family Day for BIPOC LGBTQ+ parents in the Boston metro area to experience the fun of Family Week packed into 24 hours;
• Opportunities for attendees to support Family Equality's year-long work to advocate for LGBTQ+ families, including Family Equality's third-annual Family Night: 90s Party
