Democratic Women Governors Discuss Importance of More Women Executives in Panel Discussion with Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Yesterday, hundreds attended a panel discussion - with nearly 10,000 people tuning in online via livestream - featuring America's eight Democratic women governors moderated by award-winning actress, producer, and activist Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Watch the full panel discussion from C-SPAN here.

The conversation "spotlight[ed] the governors who have made history by succeeding as women in executive roles and shattering marble ceilings along the way," as The Hollywood Reporter reported. They also discussed the importance of electing more women to executive roles, the stakes of the upcoming elections, and why who your governor is matters when it comes to protecting fundamental freedoms, including reproductive rights.

  • "Moderating the panel was Julia Louis-Dreyfus, so it would have also been psychotic if I didn't enjoy it. But the theater was packed, the line outside Venue SIX10 wrapped around the block, and Meghan Meehan-Draper, the executive director of the DGA, said she heard the afternoon panel was 'the hottest ticket in town.' I don't know if she meant that as a joke or not, but I believe it.
