Kansas City area maintenance work for Sept. 16-20

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Sept. 16-20. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

  • Crews will conduct lane closures at various locations on I-470 (in both directions) from Strothers Rd. to Blue Ridge., Mon. Sept. 16 through Tues. Sept. 17 for pavement operations.
  • Crews will conduct lane closures at various locations on I-70 (in both directions) from I-470 to Oak Grove on Thurs. Sept. 19 for pavement operations.

JOHNSON COUNTY

  • Crews will conduct lane closures on MO Route 131 starting at U.S. Highway 50 to MO Route 2 on Mon. Sept. 16 until Thurs. Sept. 19 for pavement operations.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

  • Crews will close MO Route TT between MO Route Z and Old Concord Road on Mon. Sept. 16 for drainage operations.
  • Crews will close MO Route FF between MO Route O and Linn Grove Road on Tues. Sept. 17 for drainage operations.
  • Crews will close MO Route F between U.S. Highway 24 and U.S. Highway 20 on Thurs. Sept. 19 for pavement operations.

PETTIS COUNTY

  • Crews will conduct lane closures on MO Route O starting at U.S. Highway 50 to MO Route N beginning on Mon. Sept. 16 until Thurs. Sept. 19 for pavement operations.
  • Crews will close MO Route J at Walk Road to Anderson Road on Sept. 16 for culvert replacements.

PLATTE COUNTY

RAY COUNTY

  • Crews will close MO Route E between MO Route A and MO Route K on Mon. Sept. 16 until Tues. Sept. 17 for pavement operations.

SALINE COUNTY

  • Crews will conduct lane closures on U.S. Highway 65 and U.S. Highway 20 on Mon. Sept. 16 for signal operations.
  • Crews will conduct lane closures on U.S. 65 starting at 145throad to Jewel Ave on Tues. Sept. 17 until Friday. Sept. 20 for bridge operations.
  • Crews will conduct lane closures on MO Route EE at MO Route 20 on Mon. Sept. 16 until Thursday, Sept. 19 for pavement operations.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
