MoDOT to close Schenk Road Bridge over Route 21 for bridge work…

JEFFERSON COUNTY- The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the Schenk Bridge over Missouri Route 21 for bridge repair work starting Monday, July 8.

The bridge work is expected to begin at 8 a.m. Monday, July 8 and the Schenk Bridge and Schenk Road will be closed until late September 2024.

Motorists will be allowed to exit at Schenk Road; however, all traffic must make right turns and no traffic will be allowed to cross the bridge during the construction.

Drivers are encouraged to use the Route M exit to the north, or the Old Route 21 Goldman exit to south to Old Route 21.

Message boards are in place to inform traffic of the closure.
