Drew: I had an issue with alcohol and I had drank my whole life, but I just wouldn't stop, and then five years ago, I was able to say, 'This is going to kill you in some way, you have to stop you.' But food is, you need it to survive.

Kathy: And you know, I'm sure you know stopping drinking is a similar thing with this is that you do have to make those choices and it does take a long time like they always said. But now that I'm here, I'm able to really maintain my weight and I've recently gone on Ozempic. Everyone said, 'Oh, she did it with Ozempic,' but that's not true. I've started doing that about a year ago for my diabetes and that's helped me lose the last 15 pounds or so. But even with the Ozempic, I still have to pay attention and stop when I feel that sigh.

Drew: It's so crazy and wild to be somebody that I respect and find accountable because my narrative was, 'You're not capable of change.' And then when I did, it started to make me believe in myself.

Kathy: How did you do that?

Drew: I just, I knew that I felt like, honestly, I was going to die. I knew that it was going to kill me. And it's so amazing to believe and change in yourself because when you won't change it, you don't have the faith in yourself. And so when I see people making big ticket changes, it's just so incredible because we're so capable of such growth and significant breakthroughs. And it's a miracle when we do and thank God when we get there and it's okay if it takes time, it takes a lot of time for people.

Kathy: Yeah, but the thing that's most interesting is that my getting healthy just by chance came at the same time as getting the script for 'Matlock.' And so I was ready to do it. I feel like, I mean, I can move and walk and breathe and all of those things that I couldn't do before. And so it's like every day there's like a new experience that makes me feel good about what I've accomplished and I feel different.

Drew: I can't think of anyone who deserves it more either than someone who has made such an incredible mark in this world and made everybody's lives so much better through all of your incredible art that you have put into the world.
