The Università Mediterranea is very pleased and proud to announce the Lectio Magistralis of Prof. Jaime Gil Aluja, one of the world's leading experts in the field of economics and uncertainty management.
The event will be held on October 25, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Aula Magna of the Reggio Calabria Engineering Department.The theme of the talk will be, "La soggettività nella scienza economica, Subjectivity in Economic Science, an in-depth reflection on the complexity and variability of economic dynamics, with a focus on the subjective factors that influence economic decision-making under uncertainty.
Prof. Jaime Gil Aluja is a prominent figure on the international academic scene. A graduate in Political Science and Economics from the University of Barcelona, he has an academic career of more than 45 years as Chair at the same University. He is currently President of the Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (Spain), a position he has held since 2002. A pioneer in uncertainty theory, he is considered the founder of multivalent logic applied to economics and business management.
During his career, he has published more than 200 scientific papers and about 30 reference books in the field. He has received prestigious international awards, including the Grand Cross of Alfonso X "El Sabio" and numerous academic honors worldwide. He has been named Doctor Honoris Causa by 32 international universities, including the Mediterranean. His contributions to modern economics and uncertainty management have made a profound mark on the discipline, influencing scholars and practitioners worldwide.
