Heather Encinosa and Kerry Parsons Successfully Assisted St. Johns County in Acquiring North Beach Utilities' Water and Wastewater Utility System and Real Property

In October 2024, Heather Encinosa, head of the Local Government Law and Public Utilities Practice and Kerry Parsons, head of the Real Estate Law Practice, successfully assisted St. Johns County in acquiring North Beach Utilities' water and wastewater utility system and real property in the County. This acquisition assists the County in advancing a more uniform and regional approach to the delivery of potable water and wastewater services and allows the County to control and coordinate existing resources to avoid inefficient effort, advance the conservation and environmentally sensitive use and provision of these vital services, and provide a higher level of treatment, conservation and operational benefit to the public.
