UNESCO Meeting between Jean Noël Barrot and Khaled El Enany (Paris, 08.11.24)

On November 8, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot spoke with Khaled El-Enany, the Egyptian candidate for the position of Director-General of UNESCO. The election for this position will take place in November 2025.

The Minister confirmed that France fully supports Khaled El-Enany's candidacy. He recalled our dedication to seeing multilateralism strengthened, in addition to France's commitment to UNESCO's mandate in the areas of education, culture, science, heritage, and information, as well as its messages of peace and tolerance.
