Citizens’ Drop-off Solid Waste Fees Increase July 1

The Sumter County Board of County Commissioners voted to increase the solid waste fee schedule at the Citizens' Drop-off Area at 819 CR 529, Lake Panasoffkee, FL beginning July 1, 2024.

New rates are:

• Up to 35-gallon bag or can will be $3.50 each
• Over 35-gallon bag or can will be $6.50 each
• Tires without rims will be $7 each
• Tires with rims will be $12.50 each
• Electronics such as TVs, computers, monitors, printers, microwaves, etc. will be $8 each.
• Appliances such as refrigerators, air conditioners, washers/dryers, ovens/ranges will be $7 each.
• Yard waste and construction/demolition debris will be $18 per cubic yard.
