Commonwealth University-Lock Haven will hold its 2024 homecoming festivities from Wednesday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 29. Events and activities will include the annual on-campus Lawn Party and Golf Cart Parade, the 30th annual Alumni Classic Golf Tournament hosted by the Lock Haven Alumni Association, 50th reunion events celebrating Lock Haven State College's (LHSC) graduating class of 1974, the Bald Eagle football team taking on the Marauders of Millersville University and more.<_o3a_p>

Homecoming events kick off on Wednesday, Sept. 25, with the annual Lawn Party and Golf Cart Parade. This year's theme is "Home Sweet Homecoming." The Lawn Party will be held from from 5-7 p.m., and will include candy, giveaways, music, games and other activities. The Golf Cart Parade will start at 6 p.m., running from the Student Recreation Center, then up North Fairview Street, before merging onto Ivy Lane and parking on the Commons as part of the Lawn Party. Both events are open to the public.<_o3a_p>

Thursday, Sept. 26, CU-Lock Haven will participate in Keystone Central School District's Homecoming Parade in downtown Lock Haven. The parade will kick off at 6 p.m. at the intersection of Henderson and Water streets, and run up Main Street to the Lock Haven post office. The theme for this year's parade is "Through the Decades."<_o3a_p>

Festivities on Friday, Sept. 27, begin at the Clinton Country Club at 10 a.m. with the shotgun start of the 30th annual Alumni Golf Classic. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and is open to all alumni, guests, faculty and staff. At 11 a.m., the Lock Haven Alumni Association will host a craft-making event at Clinton Country Club. This year's crafts are flower bar bouquets and is open to all alumni, guests, faculty and staff. Homecoming events transition back to campus at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, when the Lock Haven Alumni Association will host two separate, but concurrent socials:<_o3a_p>

The 50th Class Reunion Mix & Mingle for LHSC's Class of 1974 will take place on the outdoor patio of the Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center (DACC). Inside the DACC, a general mix & mingle for all alumni will occur. Both events will begin at 5 p.m. and conclude at 8:30 p.m. The 50th class reunion mix & mingle is open to 1974 alumni and guests only. General mix & mingle is open to all alumni, guests, faculty and staff. There is also a full slate of on-campus events planned throughout the day that are open to the public, including Lock Haven football taking on Millersville at 1 p.m. at Hubert Jack Stadium. Tickets can be bought at the gate.<_o3a_p>

Other on-campus events on Saturday include, men's and women's cross country will host the Lock Haven Cross Country Invitational at Stern Athletic Complex at 10 a.m. Men's soccer will take on Shepard University at Hubert Jack Stadium at 6:30 p.m. The Class of 1974 50th reunion events will be held at various locations and alumnae games for Lock Haven volleyball (Thomas Fieldhouse), lacrosse (Charlotte Smith Field), softball (Lawrence Field) and swimming (Zimmerli Pool) will take place at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 11 a.m., and 4:30 p.m. respectively.<_o3a_p>

The university will provide free bus service to help visitors around campus on Saturday. The bus will run a continuous loop from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., making stops at Thomas Fieldhouse, the DACC, Zimmerli parking lot and the Hubert Jack Stadium parking lot.<_o3a_p>

The CU-Lock Haven University Store will be open Wednesday through Saturday. Wednesday and Thursday hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The University Store will be closed on Sunday, Sept. 29.<_o3a_p>
