Daines Blasts Harris, Senate Dems, Radical Pro-Abortion Activists for Politicizing Women’s Health

U.S. Senator Steve Daines today called out the radical left for wrongly criminalizing pro-lifers after recent devastating medical tragedies from the abortion pill.

"Democrats and the media are complicit in using these tragedies - such as the stories out of Georgia last week - to blame Republicans and red states for attacking women's rights and women's health care. Yet, the irony is that these tragedies would have never occurred if the Biden Administration and the FDA had kept the safety precautions for chemical abortions - including the in-person dispensing requirement and follow-up visit with a medical provider - in place. Let me be very clear, crystal clear: Vice President Harris and the Left are engaged in a dangerous game of demagoguery. They are blaming the deaths of these women on Georgia law. That is a lie. In the cases from Georgia last week, both women experienced the same complication from chemical abortion, where the medication failed to expel all the remains of their unborn children. This is a life-threatening risk that women are not made aware of when they access this medication without guidance from medical professionals. We must approach this issue with intellectual honesty, so as to do justice to the memory of Amber Thurman and Candi Miller and prevent such deaths from ever happening again."Daines said.
