Storm Alert – October 14, 2024 – Hurricane Milton

Progress is being made towards normal operations across Georgia and Florida following Hurricane Milton's destruction. Several markets have been downgraded based on improved supply and freight conditions. However, Tampa and Orlando remain the most challenging markets due to pipeline shipping times and limited fuel availability.

Power is being restored across the Tampa area, and terminals are gradually coming back online. The pipeline supplying gas to Orlando is up and running as of this weekend. However, while jet fuel and gasoline are flowing, diesel remains in limited supply on the pipeline, and there is currently no ETA for diesel deliveries. The Port of Tampa reopened its operations, which should make way for improved fuel availability in the coming days.

As Hurricane Milton's aftermath continues to soften, Mansfield is lifting Southern Georgia from Code Orange, returning it to normal operations, and moving Florida to Code Orange status, requesting 48-hour notice for new deliveries.

Please remain cautious during this recovery period. Even though the storm has passed, there are ongoing safety risks, such as downed power lines, standing water, and rising rivers, particularly in the Tampa Bay area. Please reach out to your Mansfield representative to report any damage, fuel equipment issues, or challenges that could impact your fuel delivery. With the heavy rains and flooding, ensure your fuel tanks are free of water to prevent any damage or operational issues.
