NEW YORK - Citi today announced that it will donate $6.4 million in support of education-focused non-profit organizations through its 2024 e for education campaign.<_o3a_p>
With this donation, the campaign is set to donate over $80 million in aggregate since its inception in 2013.<_o3a_p>
Citi's Markets business donates a percentage of electronically traded proceeds during an annual eight-week campaign from September through October.<_o3a_p>
"Education is an empowering force that builds confidence and breaks down barriers to opportunity. Through this campaign we have seen firsthand the impact the non-profits we support have had on the lives of over 2 million young people globally over the years," said Flavio Figueiredo, Head of FX.<_o3a_p>
The non-profit organizations tackle childhood illiteracy and improve access to quality education.<_o3a_p>
