Ukraine, together with dozens of partner countries, is finalizing thematic conferences on individual points of the Peace Formula. Based on the results of these forums, work will begin on drafting proposals for the Second Peace Summit; the points should form the framework for consideration and approval by its participants.
As stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, from August to November, all the points of the Peace Formula were worked out within the framework of such conferences, all with "good representation of the world."
"There have already been meetings on nuclear safety, energy, food, and environmental security - following the Kakhovka dam explosion and all the Russian strikes. In other words, all aspects of Russian aggression will be included in a separate document, which should become a substantive framework for the Second Peace Summit. A step-by-step path to peace," the Head of State said.
"In early November, we will finalize our Peace Formula, and President Zelensky said that he would then be ready to listen to other initiatives, such as those of China, Brazil, South Africa, etc. to integrate them into ours. Then our proposal will have significant support," Andriy Yermak added.
At the First Peace Summit in Switzerland this June, it was agreed to hold thematic conferences based on the results of the relevant working groups.

On October 30-31, the ninth thematic conference on the fourth point of the Peace Formula, "Release of Prisoners and Deportees," is taking place in Montreal, Canada, in a mixed format. The first Peace Summit, held in Switzerland on June 15-16, attracted an unprecedented number of participants - 101 countries and international organizations from all continents and regions: Latin America, the Middle East and Asia, Africa, Europe, the Pacific, Australia, and North America. Two-thirds of the participating countries were represented at the highest level.
According to Andriy Yermak, Volodymyr Zelenskyy came up with the idea of the Peace Formula in the spring of 2022. The idea was to offer the world a Ukrainian vision of a just end to the war based on international law. To counter not only Russian propaganda and its false claims of peace, but also possible alternative plans for peace that might not take into account the interests of Ukraine. According to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, it is the complexity of the Formula and its reliance on international law that makes it possible to take into account the interests of countries from all continents of the world.
The President of Ukraine first announced the Peace Formula in his speech at the UN General Assembly in September 2022, and then named and explained all 10 points of the Formula in his speech at the G20 Summit in November 2022.
The entire subsequent complex and multi-level architecture of work on the Peace Formula was aimed at constantly communicating Ukraine's position on each aspect of Russian aggression to the maximum number of countries and increasing international support for Ukraine.
The Peace Formula and its key components have already been endorsed in a number of international documents, including the UN General Assembly Resolution of February 23, 2023. Various states have expressed their willingness to lead or participate in the implementation of its points. At the end of August 2023, relevant working groups were established for each point of the Formula, including representatives of countries from different continents.
The implementation of the Peace Formula was discussed at hundreds of bilateral and multilateral meetings. In preparation for the First Peace Summit, 10 meetings were held at the embassy level with representatives of dozens of countries, and six meetings were held at the level of advisors to state leaders (June 24, 2023 - in Copenhagen, August 5-6, 2023 - in Jeddah, October 28, 2023 - in Malta, January 12, 2024 - in Davos, March 20, 2024 - in Kyiv).
