2024 ACC Responsible Care® Awards

CPChem facilities are recognized for outstanding safety performance during 2023 and their commitment to a sustainable future.

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) recognized CPChem for our outstanding safety performance and culture and our commitment to a sustainable future by awarding several of our facilities distinguished awards. These awards prove that our employees and contractors embody Operational Excellence daily.

In addition to CPChem receiving six Responsible Care® Safety Awards, CPChem also received two Energy Efficiency Awards, one of which was recognized for exceptional merit. The ACC created the Energy Efficiency Award in 1993 to recognize ACC partner companies for their commendable achievements in improving energy efficiencies and/or reducing greenhouse gas emissions or other environmental impacts.

Our Orange facility was recognized with an Energy Efficiency award for year-on-year energy improvement, while our Sweeny, Clemens and Old Ocean facility was recognized with exceptional merit because of their continuous energy efficiency improvement efforts.

For the Responsible Care® Safety Awards, five CPChem facilities won the Certificate of Excellence, awarded to facilities with zero deaths, zero days away from work cases, and zero job transfers or restriction cases, according to OSHA guidelines among both employees and contractors:

• Bartlesville
• Borger
• Conroe
• Kingwood
• Orange

In addition, our Pasadena facility earned the Certificate of Honor, awarded to facilities with zero deaths, zero days away from work cases, and zero job transfer or restriction cases, according to OSHA guidelines for employees:
