City of South Fulton Police Department's Promotion, Retirement, & Citizen's Academy Graduation Ceremony

On Monday, October 19, the City of South Fulton Police Department gathered at Southwest Arts Center to honor retirements, promotions, and Citizens Academy graduates.

City Manager Sharon Subadan recognized the honorees saying, "Your achievements today are a testament to your hard work, resilience, and the deep sense of duty you bring to protecting and serving the citizens of the City of South Fulton. We are proud of all that you've accomplished and grateful for the continued excellence you will bring to your new roles."

Chaplain Anthony Nunnally received a surprise commendation for going above and beyond the call of duty in his service to the City of South Fulton Police Department and community.

Graduates from the first class of the Citizens Academy were also recognized. "The Citizens Academy offers residents the opportunity to better understand the workings of the police department and to engage the community, ensuring that there is a connection between the community and the police.," said Sergeant Meisha Dill, who leads the program.

Chief Keith Meadows recognized retirees Captain Hattie Cotton-Tukes and Detective Michael Theus. Chief Meadows extolled their dedication, drive, and extraordinary character. Both Captain Tukes and Detective Theus were instrumental in the foundation and growth of the City of South Fulton Police Department. Chief Meadows and other program participants expressed their deep gratitude for both officers' indelible impact on the community.

The Pining Ceremony also acknowledged officers being promoted to new roles in recognition for their hard work and achievements.

Sergeants: Myesha Cooper, Jason Curtis, Meisha Dill, Kellin Ireland, Lina Kiene, Christopher Meraz, Nehemiah Nesmith, Marlon Quinn, Willis Reed, Lakeshia Riley, William Thompson, Kevin Turner, Lakeisha Watts, Ratesha Wilson

Lieutenants; Jonathan Cornelius, Pserda Dickerson, Crystal Foster-Gadsden, Samuel Freeman, Nikkita Moss

Captains: Jubal Rogers, Nicholas Williams, Jimmy Wyche
