Delta and DIPROM Empower Thai Startups with the DIPROM x DELTA Angel Fund to Boost Innovation and Drive Economic Growth in Thailand

Bangkok, 9 September 2024 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, under the leadership of CEO Mr. Victor Cheng, and the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM), led by Mr. Passakorn Chairat, Director General of DIPROM, continue their mission to accelerate the growth of Thai startups with the 9th annual DIPROM x DELTA Angel Fund. This initiative provides essential funding and support to Thai entrepreneurs, helping them scale their innovative ideas and contribute to the nation's economic future.

Since its launch in 2016, the DIPROM x DELTA Angel Fund has empowered over 207 startups by providing a combination of capital, mentorship, and access to industry networks. With Delta contributing over 33.16 million THB in funding and helping create 927 jobs, the program has played a pivotal role in bringing innovative projects to the commercial market. This year, 10 teams have been awarded a total of 5,000,000 THB in funding, with each presenting innovative solutions that align with this year's theme of promoting Thailand's soft power.

6. Stop Bleeding Technology by UltiMat
7. Plasma Water Solution by Plasma Innovations
8. Toki 100% Calcium Max Milk (Non-Sodium) by CSK Deluxe Garment
9. Central-Based Energy Storage System (C-BESS) by PJJ Solutions
10. Liquid Culture for Mushroom Cultivation by So Mush

These technologies are expected to generate over 80 million THB in economic value in 2024 alone.

One of this year's standout projects is iCreativeSystems, which won the top prize for its Aircraft Drone Solution which allow long distance navigation in a portable control station. This innovation exemplifies the spirit of the Angel Fund, combining creativity and advanced technology to develop practical solutions that can be scaled up. The drone technology is designed to enable demanding and high-quality aerial surveillance, delivery, photography, and data collection needs. These include medical supply deliveries to remote areas and surveillance to prevent unauthorized land intrusion, highlighting the wide potential for this project to provide impactful solutions across various industries.
