Arete and Gas South Organize Food and Fun for Peace Prep Academy

Of the many private schools in Atlanta, one school stands out for its commitment to educating the whole child, supporting the whole family, and growing the whole community.

Founded in 2015, Peace Preparatory Academy is a testament to the power of community. It seeks to provide its students with a high-quality education in a Christ-centered environment, a goal that is only made possible through the support of its community members, dedicated staff, and supporters.

Along with a group from our partners at Gas South, our volunteers worked to enhance the existing playground at Peace Prep, creating hopscotch courses and four-square courts on the blacktop where the students spend recess.

When the paint was nearly dry, fourth graders from the school came out to see the upgrades. Their squeals of delight said it all! Our group got to play with students, and the teachers were thrilled with the new life given to the playground area.

Our partners from Gas South also spent time helping organize the school's food pantry, which keeps students fueled throughout the day and supports families in need.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Gas South for their invaluable support in bringing joy to one of our partner schools. We also want to thank Peace Prep for graciously allowing our team to spend a day with their exceptional staff and students.

Through community activities like these, Arete and its supporters are able to take part in the life-giving transformations of our partner schools.
