CHS and AgVend forge collaboration to enhance ag retailer experience

CHS, the nation's leading agribusiness cooperative, is announcing a new agreement with AgVend, the leading provider of digital enablement solutions for agribusiness. This first-of-its-kind collaboration enhances the digital connection between the AgVend Network, which partners with 25% of the North American ag input retail market, and CHS, through streamlined workflows and increased visibility directly connected to the AgVend platform.

"At CHS, we strive to be our customers' first choice. To do so, we know we need to meet them where they are," said Gary Halvorson, executive vice president, enterprise customer development, CHS. "This collaboration makes sense, as many of our wholesale customers already use AgVend as a business partner and see value in the solutions they provide. These customers have also expressed how much they value their connection with CHS and have encouraged us to find ways to collaborate with AgVend."

Beginning in September 2024, CHS wholesale crop protection customers will have access to place orders, view transaction and invoice history, and to reorder with one easy click within the AgVend platform.

"River Valley Cooperative is excited about this new connection and the visibility it brings to our business with CHS and the ease of doing business it offers from our AgVend platform," said Craig Patty, vice president of sales and marketing for River Valley Cooperative, based in Davenport, Iowa. "This connection is set to transform our operations and connectivity, reflecting both companies' commitment to ag retailers."

While the initial launch is focused on crop protection products, CHS plans to expand the experience into other agriculture and energy products, including crop nutrients, propane, refined fuels and lubricants. Additionally, ag retailers using producer financing programs from CHS Capital will soon be able to see loan information, including balances and related details, in the AgVend platform.

"Our collaboration with CHS marks the introduction of a new product suite designed to enable distributors, manufacturers and other third parties to offer their AgVend Network customers an easier way to do business," said Alexander Reichert, CEO and co-founder of AgVend. "We are thrilled to collaborate with CHS, which shares our vision of how digital connectivity can create a more dynamic and resilient ag supply chain."

"Coordinated efforts between our organizations have resulted in new ways to meet mutual retail partners where they do business. This is an important, but not the only, step in our journey to improve how we digitally connect with our customers," said Mark Biedenfeld, vice president, customer success, CHS. "We are committed to improving the customer experience and positioning CHS customers to unlock opportunities that come along with further digital connectivity."
