Fencing Operation Busted by The Organized Retail Crimes Task Force NR24204rc

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Organized Retail Crime Task Force (ORCTF) arrested multiple suspects following a search warrant on a "fencing" operation.

On March 2024, a local business reported to the Los Angeles Police Department that merchandise was being stolen from their stores. ORCTF detectives were able to determine that the stolen merchandise was being purchased by a business located in the 2700 block of W. Manchester Boulevard, in the City of Inglewood. On July 16, 2024, ORCTF investigators were notified by the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department (LASD) that three suspects had just committed a "flash robbery" at a store located in East Los Angeles. The LASD had been investigating these suspects for previous "flash robberies" and were aware they have previously sold stolen property to the business located in the 2700 block of W. Manchester Boulevard. LASD provided a description of the suspects to the ORCTF investigators.

Prior to the service of the search warrant, a black BMW was observed stopping in front of the location. Three suspects who matched the description provided by LASD, exited the vehicle with what appeared to be brand new clothing and boxes of shoes. The three suspects then entered the business with the merchandise. Once the suspects from the East Los Angeles incident had entered the business, members of the ORCTF served the search warrant.

The following suspects were arrested Aaron Isreal 42-year old, Los Angeles resident, Felon with a Firearm 29800(a)(1) PC. Trevian Holmes 36-year old, Inglewood resident, RSP496 PC. Brian McKing 24-year old, Los Angeles resident, Jahiem Gillett 21-year-old, Los Angeles resident, and Devontay Pinson 24-year old, Los Angeles resident. Three suspects were booked for Robbery 211 PC.

Officers recovered one firearm, U.S. Currency, and numerous items that had been stolen from two local stores. Representatives from the victimized retailer responded and identified their merchandise.
