Notice: Weekes Branch Renovation

Hayward Public Library's Weekes Branch location will undergo some renovation, starting this fall, to prevent the facility's further decline. The City has authorized the use of Community Development Block Grant funds and special revenue sources to fund the Weekes Branch improvements. Exterior improvements will include: fencing and landscaping surrounding the footprint of the Library. Interior improvements will include: interior paint, removal and replacement of old carpeting, replacing the old baseboards and the old window blinds, and the replacement of old furniture, bookshelves, and shelving. The City anticipates the closure of Weekes Branch during the renovation period which will be announced once the dates are decided.
