Kansas City area maintenance work for Oct. 7-11

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Oct. 7-11. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Route BB between Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 24: flagging operation on Mon., Oct. 7, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., for pavement repair.

Interstate 35 eastbound and westbound at Jefferson St.: intermittent lane closures on Tue., Oct. 8, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., for drain cleaning.

U.S. Highway 50 between Chipman Rd. and Johnson County line: intermittent lane closures on Tue., Oct. 8, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., for pavement repair.

Interstate 70 eastbound and westbound between Paseo and 23rd St.: left lane closures on Wed., Oct. 9, from approximately 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., for barrier wall repair.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 131 between US-50 and Missouri Highway 58: flagging operation from Mon., Oct. 7 until Wed., Oct. 9, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for pavement repair.

PETTIS COUNTY

Missouri Highway 127: full closures for culvert replacement work.

  • Mon., Oct. 7, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.: between Route AA and Route Y
  • Wed., Oct. 9, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.: between Route Y and US-50

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
